With rising expectations of achieving greatness through education, it is crucial to note that there can be such thing as too much pressure. Academic anxiety is not uncommon and can manifest itself to be quite daunting, but there are ways to help.
Offering Resources
This can be from organizing a tutor to presenting an organized calendar that gives a little more routine to finish all that needs to be done
Providing full support
It can be tough to remain patient and give it your all, but it really can help
Providing encouragement can be a great tool here; however, buying them their favourite snacks and offering any help can just be a good way to simply 'be there'
Recognize the signs quickly
Panic about assignments, even the smaller ones that could be done 'quickly'
Remember that anxiety shows itself in different ways (Quick to irritation, upset easily)
Excessive perseverating on what needs to be done
This can be a hint that your child is overwhelmed
These roundabout thoughts can be indications that there is something more happening behind the scenes
Do research!
Researching different ways to help, different types of anxiety, and different resources are great steps to being fully involved in getting your child to feel secure and optimistic
