Reading as Therapy

Reading is beginning to become a lost art form, with many individuals favouring fast media over pages in a book. With this, we begin to see a loss of imagination and rises in overactive behaviour, which is why we believe more people should be using reading as therapy. Being able to immerse yourself in a world outside yourself can help with so many little things we don't even consider, such as building empathetic skills, having connections to a tale, and, of course, increasing focus. Reading has been around for thousands of years, and it is for a good reason.

Research has shown that overall, there is a boost in cognitive function, which enhances language and comprehension, and can improve both mental and emotional well-being. Not only that, but aspects of vocabulary, memory, grammar, and critical thinking. It doesn't even have to be books about education; this can span your child's favorite fiction books that feature princesses or talking animals.

Truly, do not allow reading to become a lost art form, as it has been the backbone of society for so long. Taking the easy way out by allowing AI to do all the 'hard' work and summarizing even the shortest of texts is only doing you a disservice.
